  i'm just listening to tim mcgraw sing this song about this.

  what would you do if you were told you had a few months to live?.

  i personally have been reflecting on this because my mother was recently told she had a real short time.

  I've been on borrowed time for many years now. I wasn't expected to live in 1992. I live with a set of diseases that can take my life at anytime.

  Life became both serious, and other things became unimportant.

  I am at peace.

  the cycle never ends even when you leave the wt.

  you go from one set of fears to another set of fears.

  i used to be terrified of armageddon when i was a jw and just knew i was going to get hit by a lightning bolt from jehovah on that day.

  I don't know any mainstream/born again believers that love and worship God out of fear. We love Him because He first loved us. When I left the god of the Watchtower, the God of the Bible found me. He is a wonderful, loving, slow to anger, gracious God.

  It is not about fear it is about surrender. We surrender our whole being to the God who created us, and sent Jesus (Himself) to do the time for all our crimes, so we don't have to suffer for our mistakes. He took care of that for us. I love Him, He is easy to love when you get to know Him.

  People sometimes will take things out of context (WTBTS) and make our awesome Creator out to look like an ass. Which is stupid. Look around us, what incredible beauty everywhere. He did it all for us. Every butterfly, every sunrise, every soft breeze, every bite of food, they are all gifts. Even the bad times become sweet when you go through them with the Son.

  Fear...only of my own personal weakness. I never want to be out of His will, because all His thoughts toward me are good. His will for me is good. He is good. God is good all the time, all the time, God is good.

  i just heard that my brother has been picked to be one of the main parts in the drama at this years district convention .

  i thought this was hilarious when my mother told me tonight.

  i said was he gonna be jezebel so my mum thinking i was been sarcastic and derogatory about it changed the subject.

  guys and gals, i'm tired all of the time.

  my endocrinologist tells me that my lymphocytes are chronically elevated.

  i have headaches all the time.

  Melinda make sure have everything checked and find out exactly WHY your lymphocytes are elevated. Have every organ function checked. Rule out cancer anywhere in the body. If you are chronically fatigied now, only you can know when you've had enough. You would need a doctor to take you off work, get workers comp disability, then file for SSI/SSD.

  I have been through medical hell, misdiagnosed, mistreated, and permanently disabled because of it. I now eat an organic vegan diet and it has changed everything for the better. But I still have challenges. I hope you feel better soon.

  Another Martyr on the Watchtower alter........

  every so often, i think, perhaps i'm starting to let go of any interest in the wtbts and what it's poor deluded followers continue to do, or to suffer because of their misguided interpretation of the bible and, well....life in general.

  however, my mum called me the other evening to tell me about a former jw 'friend'.

  she is 48 and has just been diagnosed with a blood cancer.

  Cog I sure wish your sister a full recovery, I'm glad she took the blood. I hope she doesn't beat herself up about it.

  It reminds me why I'm here and why I constantly try to find out more about helping JWs still trapped. Just when I thought, that perhaps I would be able to walk away from the WTBTS and start to forget, I'm reminded why we can't and must not.

  Gill I'll never stop trying either and this story is but one reason. Never give up. Do everything you can to reach out. Remember how many people came to us when we were screwed up in it? Not enough right? Maybe no one. I was on my own, pre -computer days too. I needed someone to tell me the truth about the UN, and everything else.

  I talk to them whenever I can. I send C of C books and another book for free. I'll never stop until I'm dead. If all my efforts can help bring one Watchtower slave to freedom, or knock just one brick out out of the wall, it will have all been worth it.

  The god of the WTBTS was a powerful deity looking for a reason to squash me. He was an insane deity running around up there saying "Go ahead, make my day" I was never good enough for him.

  Jesus the God of the Bible is very beautiful, loving, full of grace and mercy. He gives me unconditional love and forgiveness. He loves animals, adores children, and delights in every little thing about me. He meets me where I am and changes what needs changing in me, for my own good. He fills me with joy when I should be stressed. He gives me peace when I should be crying.

  He loves me just the way I am.

  Romans 8:35-37 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Even as it is written, "For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter." No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

  Nassau Village Murder By Candia Dames A day after a family was terrorized in Yellow Elder Gardens, police were called to another New Providence community – this time to the scene of what they indicated was a brutal murder.

  Dead is 33-year-old Adrian Roker, a fisherman who lived on Matthew Street in the southern portion of Nassau Village. Police said he was stabbed to death.

  A large crowd gathered at the scene last night, including wailing family members who had just received the news of Mr. Roker’s death.

  Police Inspector Walter Evans told reporters that the man was found lying on his back in the portion of Nassau Village that is called the Haitian village. It is where Mr. Roker lived.

  According to Mr. Evans, Mr. Roker, who became the 13th homicide in the country for 2006, had a stab wound to the right upper chest.

  "At this point, we do not know what the motive is for this incident, however, an intensive investigation has begun into this latest homicide," the police inspector said, adding that there was no suspect in custody.

  Mr. Evans said police had not retrieved a weapon either and weren’t sure what Mr. Roker was stabbed with.

  "As the investigation progresses, we would be able to determine the type of weapon that was used," he said.

  As she was held up by family members, Mr. Roker’s mother, Trudy Emmanuel, said the killing sends a clear message to young men in Nassau Village "that they need to turn now and seek Jehovah".

  "All I know is a boy came and told me that he got stabbed and that’s it," she said as she grieved for her son, the eldest of six children. "I called the ambulance."

  Asked how difficult it was to deal with her son’s killing, Ms. Emmanuel said it’s a feeling one cannot know unless one has experienced it.

  "Sometimes you hear things like this and you say you understand how people feel, but when you go through it, your heart is all cramped up and you’re weak," she told reporters. "You have to deal with [it]."

  Ms. Emmanuel said her son was a person who "liked to know everybody".

  "This is a wakeup call for us all," she added, "No one knows where death is."

  Ms. Emmanuel said she had just hung up the telephone talking to her sister when she got the news. She said she had told her sister that it was important to seek Jehovah because no one knew when his or her time on earth could come to an abrupt end.

  "By the time I hung up the phone the boy [came] and told me my son got stabbed and he believe he’s dead," she said.

  Mr. Evans said Mr. Roker was dressed in a white shirt, beige trousers and was wearing shoes. The screams of relatives grew loud as funeral home officials pulled the body from where he had collapsed on the ground.

  It came one day after police urged members of the public to resolve conflicts peacefully and not resort to violence.

  But police said they did not know the motive for the stabbing in Nassau Village, a community that grabbed national headlines early last year after a violent uprising left several people injured and some residents in a nasty clash with police.

  Police also reported yesterday that Jacqueline Burrows, the 57-year-old cancer patient shot in the face in Yellow Elder Gardens on her birthday on Wednesday, was in stable condition in hospital.

  They said the man responsible for the shooting could be charged as early as today if not early next week.
